Food Pantry

The Yakima Valley College Food Pantry is funded and operated by students for students facing food insecurity. The pantry is open to any person that is in need. Students can pick up a pre-packaged bag of groceries, and special needs items like baby supplies in the Student Life Offices on either the Yakima or Grandview campus during regular operating hours. We also stock quick snacks and meals for students who need to eat before or between classes.

Food Pantry Information

• A variety of non-perishable items
• Canned fruits and vegetables
• Pasta, rice, and beans
• Cereal, flour, and sugar
• Personal care items
• Baby supplies like diapers and formula
• Information on community resources

The Food Pantry accepts non-perishable donations at any time in the drop box located at the Student Life office. In addition to food items, toiletries, toilet paper, feminine hygiene products, and household cleaning supplies are much needed.

Monetary donations are needed as well. Such donations help fund the operation as well as purchase food and products that are not being collected. Employees can donate by setting up a payroll deduction through the Human Resource Services department.
