English Language Acquisition
(Formerly ESL)
Learning English can be the first step to a better life for you and your family. ELA classes help students develop skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing English. Classes are affordable and various levels of instruction are available to match your current English skills. Our classes are appropriate for students who want to get started learning English all the way to those preparing for college-level work.
What our students say
“The experience I had as a student with the ESL and ABE teachers attending YVC was wonderful, pleasant, and helpful for my education and to be better as a human being, because I became more patient and passionate in all what I do.”
“I highly recommend this program to everyone trying to learn or improve their English. As a person who did not have much education and studying experience, I’ve learned a lot and now I am able to communicate more in English.”
“I would recommend YVC to others wanting to earn a degree. Every instructor I have had has always been willing to help me whenever I needed something. Receiving financial assistance helped me a lot. I didn’t have to worry about how I was going to pay for my education.”
