Where were you when Yakima hit an all-time high temperature of 114 last June? Does it seem like our air quality is suffering more every year?

After more than a year of disruption from the Covid-19 pandemic, student climate strikes are back in the news. A recent report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change has been called “code red for humanity”.

Come join us !! Let us raise our voices and get involved in this movement!

The Climate & Environment Club is starting its third year at YVC. We have hosted speakers on climate change and water pollution in agriculture. We have also planned Earth Day events and attended the Washington Oregon Higher Education Sustainability Conference.

Our weekly Tuesday meetings from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. are a chance to learn more about and discuss the environmental issues you are interested in. Bring your ideas for community projects you want to get involved with!
