Application period open for Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Management for the 2022-23 academic year

Applications are now open for Yakima Valley College’s Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Business Management (BASM) program for the 2022-2023 academic year. Deadline to apply is May 31. The program is designed for prospective students who have earned an applied associate degree and need a pathway to pursue a bachelor’s degree.

Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Management (BASM) – The BASM program combines lower-division technical and transfer courses with upper-division credits in business management resulting in a four-year degree that combines hands-on application of management practices and an understanding of management theory.  This program works well for individuals working a day schedule, as each class meets in the evenings one time per week for two hours. Additional instruction and student interaction takes place online. Full-time students, those taking 15 credits per quarter, can finish the program in two years once prerequisites have been met. This program begins each fall and is open for full or part-time enrollment.

April McNiel, a graduate of the BASM program, said having the ability to earn her degree locally was essential.

“I am better able to meet my family needs as well as my personal career goals. If the BASM program were not available locally, I would not have pushed forward for a bachelor’s degree,” McNiel said.
