YVC Running Start Information Nights
YVC’s Running Start Program offers students in the Yakima Valley the opportunity to get a jump on their college education
Yakima, Wash. — Yakima Valley College’s Running Start Program will host a series of online information nights for current high school sophomores and juniors and their parents this winter and spring. Please see the table below for a list of upcoming information sessions.

The Running Start Program offers eligible high school students the opportunity to enroll in college classes at YVC’s Yakima and Grandview campuses during their junior and senior years and receive both high school and college credit.
By participating in Running Start, students can:
- Get a head start on college
- Save thousands of dollars in college tuition costs
- Attend classes full- or part-time
- Select and sample diverse classes
- Transition to college life
- Enter their chosen profession more quickly
