YVC’s Automotive Service Technology program hosts End of the Year Car Show & BBQ

Yakima, WA – YVC’s Automotive Service Technology (AST) will host an End of the Year Car Show & BBQ. The event will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2019 from 12:00-1:00pm in YVC’s Automotive Service Technology North Bullpen; Corner of 13th Avenue & Nob Hill Blvd, Yakima, WA. Paid parking is available in Lot L along 13th Avenue and Hamm. Members of the Vintiques of Yakima Car Club will have their vehicles on display during the event and will be available to network with students. The group will also present a $1,000 scholarship to one of YVC’s AST students. Tours of the facility and information about YVC’s program will also be available.

YVC’s AST program prepares students for employment in the dynamic high-tech automotive repair industry. Technological advances in today’s automobiles require a highly skilled automotive repair technician. This training can start in YVC’s AST program. The program covers all nine Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) areas of automotive repair and classes are aligned with their corresponding certifications.
