YVC hosts comedic keynote on crafting your own success story

Yakima Valley College’s Financial Literacy program hosts author, speaker and comedian David Edward Garcia for presentations in Yakima and Grandview on April 24, 2024. His talk, “Flip the Script: Comedic Insights on Crafting your own Success Story,” gives audience members actionable steps to write or re-write their own powerful narrative as they develop their mental well-being.

Garcia will share his experience of growing up as an “at-risk” student on the Texas-Mexico border and how he went from failing high school classes to earning three college degrees, learning five languages and traveling to six continents. He also will show students how they can find their genius and build successful lives.
