11th Annual Grape to Glass Gala – A Winemaker’s Dinner

The Vineyard and Winery Technology Program at Yakima Valley College will host the 11th annual Grape to Glass Gala-A Winemaker’s Dinner on Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 6:00-10:00pm. The event will benefit Vineyard & Winery Technology student scholarships. Held at the Grandview Activity Center, 401 West Second Street, Grandview, WA the event will include a dinner, wine tasting, a silent auction, live music and dancing.

Schedule of events:

  • 6:00-7:00pm:   Social Hour & Appetizers
  • 6:00-8:00pm:   Silent Auction
  • 7:00-8:30pm:   Dinner & Wine Tasting
  • 8:00-10:00pm: Dancing

The Winemaker’s Dinner will include a four course meal prepared by Tom Douglas Catering. Dinner will be paired with wines from YVC’s own Yakima Valley Vintners and will also feature Washington wineries who employ YVC graduates. In collaboration with YV-Tech Culinary Arts Program, students will assist the caterer with dinner service.

Student Emilse Osorio loves the support provided by this annual event. She states, “I would like to express my gratitude to the Grape to Glass Gala- A Winemaker’s Dinner. I started school in winter of 2014 in below college-level classes, but that didn’t make me back off. I found the support for my struggles at the writing center in school and with one of the most helpful people, that has crossed my path, Instructor Trent Ball, I can truly say that my time studying at YVC has definitely changed my life for the good, and that is due to this scholarship. Thanks to this event I have revived my hopes to continue my education and obtained the tools I need to be successful in life.”
