Are you experiencing homelessness, home insecurity or food insecurity?

Yakima Valley College has resources to help students who are experiencing homelessness, home insecurity, and food insecurity. Helpful staff is ready to assist students to navigate resources available on campus and in the community.

Grocery vouchers and referrals to community food banks.

Referrals to transitional, short-term and long-term housing, rental assistance and access to YVC’s dorms.

School supplies, hygiene kits, access to on-campus showers and laundry facilities, and storage.

Career exploration, employment assistance and goal setting for independent living.

Bus passes and help with gasoline.

Counselors can help you identify resources, look at problems from a new perspective and assist you in developing skills and understanding to guide you toward your own solutions. Areas of help include balancing school, work & family, coping with stress, dealing with anxiety or depression, relationship problems, managing anger, drug and alcohol and gender and sexuality

Laptops available on loan for emergencies.

Enrollment in the Passport to Careers program which provides $1,500 more in financial aid plus paid textbooks and incentive funds.
