Growth in Yakima Valley College’s STEM program is providing additional opportunities for students in the Yakima Valley.

Yakima Valley College hosted its 93rd Commencement Ceremony on June 17.

Faculty and staff like Pritchard and Steven Slusher have long played a key role in developing and fostering partnerships within the Yakima Valley.

Many Yakima Valley College students have earned scholarships to help them pursue their dreams of a college education.

Following his service, Ilifonso Garcia enrolled in Yakima Valley College’s Criminal Justice program and despite his nervousness at being a new college student, he found support from YVC’s faculty and staff.

For the 2022-23 academic year the Foundation is awarding $510,000 to students, with average award amounts at $3,500.

Upward Bound (UB) alumnus Esther Estrada ‘16 recently attended the Council for Opportunity in Education Conference hosted by the Washington State TRIO Association to advocate for programs that support populations frequently underserved in higher education.
