Advising Day is November 1

YVC is providing mandatory advising via phone, Zoom or an in-person session for students with less than 30 college-level credits. Advising Day will be held November 1, 2022.

No daytime in-person or synchronous classes on November 1! Evening classes that begin at or after 6 p.m. are held at their normal times.

All Bachelor of Applied Science classes follow their regular schedule.

Which Academic Pathway am I in?

If you haven’t already, choose your academic pathway using the Pathway Selection Tool. Complete the tool by October 22 at 3:00 p.m. in order to participate in Advising Day. Note that students with less than 30 credits need to participate in advising to register for winter quarter classes.

How do I contact my advisor?

Each Academic Pathway will be available for in-person advising on November 1. The schedule will be posted on the Advising Day website. For those students or advisors who are unavailable for in-person advising, the advisor will contact the student by phone or e-mail.

If your advisor has to leave you a voicemail or email, please respond promptly.

Don’t know who your advisor is?

Faculty advisors for fall 2022 should be posted in ctcLink by late October. If you do not hear from your advisor by October 27, or have more questions, please contact the Counseling & Advising Center by phone at 509.574.4956, or by email at counseling@yvcc.edu.

Advising is mandatory for students who have less than 30 college-level credits (100 level and above).
