Last Day of Spring Advising

Yakima Valley College is providing mandatory advising via phone and email for students with less than 30 college-level credits. Advising Days will be held May 4-11, 2021.

If you haven’t contacted your advisor yet, please be sure to do so as soon as possible. What does mandatory mean? You may experience a block on your registration if you do not contact your advisor and have under 30 credits!

Your Pathway Advisor is listed in the Student Portal. If you are still unsure who your advisor is, do not hear from your advisor by May 4, or have more questions, please contact the Counseling & Advising Center by phone at 509.574.4956, or by email at counseling@yvcc.edu.

Your advisor will call or email you to schedule an advising time before May 4, 2021, and methods to meet (usually by phone or Zoom meeting). If your advisor must leave you a voicemail or email, please respond promptly.

Students: Please confirm your contact information is up to date in your student profile. Visit the Student Portal to view your profile and update your phone or email address if needed.

Running Start Students: If a Pathway Advisor reaches out to you, please meet with them. If you have questions about your pathway, who your Pathway Advisor is, or other Advising Days questions, please email a Running Start advisor at runningstart@yvcc.edu.

Advising is not mandatory for students that have more than 30 college-level credits (100 level and above).
