At the end of the Winter Quarter, your YVC student email address will be updated in preparation for a change in how you’ll log into Canvas. Please log into the YVC Student Portal beginning March 25, 2022, to get your new YVC student email.

Then, at the start of Spring Quarter, the process you’ll use to log into Canvas will change. Rather than using your Student ID number, you’ll need to use your new YVC student email as your username. Your password will remain the same.

When will this change happen?

Your new YVC student email address should be available on March 25, 2022.

The new Canvas login process will take effect on March 25, 2022. We encourage you to try logging into Canvas after that date but before the beginning of Spring Quarter on March 29 to ensure you are able to log into Canvas.

How do you log into your YVC student email?

Use the Office Portal to access all the Office 365 Apps including your email. Log in with your student email and you will be redirected to another page where you will log in with your email address and Student PIN. What happens to the existing messages in my current YVC student email?

Any messages in your current YVC email inbox will be deleted when your email address is updated. Please make sure to transfer any emails in your current inbox by March 18, 2022, otherwise, they will be deleted and will not be recoverable. You will want to communicate with others that contact you via this existing email to stop using the email address as of March 18, 2022. Additionally, if you use this email as a login or username you will want to update that information when you get your new YVC email address.
