ctcLink Update: Tools for planning your education

Thank you for your continued patience as we all transition to ctcLink, Washington’s state-wide record-keeping system. One of the educational planning tools you may have used in the past to choose courses and check your progress was Degree Audit. Degree Audit has been replaced with Academic Advisement Reports (AARs) and What If reports. These reporting tools will help you know what courses to take and give you an idea for how your credits could count if you changed your educational goal.

However, AARs and What If’s are not available yet. Each college has to build its own database for the reports to run. YVC is in the process of building those databases. If you try to run a report at this time you will get a message that says the report is empty. We will notify you as soon as AARs and What If reports are available for you.

In the meantime, if you want help choosing courses or need other help with planning your education, read the rest of this message to find out what support is available to you.
