YVC’s Choir Hosts Rehearsals for Upcoming Bluegrass Concert
Yakima, WA – Do you have an interest in country/bluegrass music? Do you love to sing? YVC’s Music Department would like to invite you to join the Choir for an upcoming Country/Bluegrass Concert. Rehearsals start January 2, 2020 and are held weekly on Tuesday and Thursdays from 1:00-2:30pm. The concert will be held on March 13-14, 2020.
The YVC Music Department provides students with academic courses and performing opportunities in vocal and instrumental music as well as opportunities for private lessons. The department offers courses ranging from Music Appreciation and History of Jazz, to Music of the World and 20th Century Music. These courses are designed for students who have an interest in music as a non-major. Students choosing to pursue a degree in music should follow a program leading to an associate in arts degree and then transfer to a college or university that offers music as a major. Courses designed for students who are majoring in music include Music Theory and Class Piano.
