Yakima, WA – Yakima Valley College will offer information sessions for the Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Business Management (BASM) and the Bachelor of Applied Science in Information Technology (BASIT). The programs are designed for prospective students who have earned an applied associate’s degree and need a pathway to pursue a bachelor’s degree.

Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Management (BASM) – The BASM program combines lower-division technical and transfer courses with upper-division credits in business management resulting in an application-oriented four-year degree.  This program works well for individuals working a day schedule, as each class meets in the evenings one time per week for two hours. Continued instruction and student interaction takes place online. Full-time students, those taking 15 credits per quarter, can finish the program in two years once prerequisites have been met. This program begins each fall and is open for part-time enrollment.

Bachelor of Applied Science in Information Technology Networking – System Administration (BASIT) – YVC’s BASIT program combines lower-division technical and transfer courses with upper-division credits in Information Technology, resulting in an application-oriented, four-year degree. Each class meets in the evenings one time per week for two hours. Continued instruction and student interaction takes place online. Full-time students are generally able to complete the degree in as few as two years once prerequisites have been met. This degree will broaden and deepen students’ foundational knowledge, adding general education, theory, advanced technical and professional skills, and integrative collaborating learning.  Upon admission, students may start the program the following quarter.
