Interested in earning a bachelor’s degree? Apply for one of YVC’s programs for the 2023-24 academic year

Applications are now open for several of Yakima Valley College’s Bachelor of Applied Science degree programs including business management, agricultural services and information technology – system administration.

YVC’s Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Business Management (BASM) program is accepting applications through May 31 for the 2023-24 academic year. The program is designed for prospective students who have earned an applied associate degree and need a pathway to pursue a bachelor’s degree. The BASM program combines lower-division technical and transfer courses with upper-division credits in business management resulting in a four-year degree that combines hands-on application of management practices and an understanding of management theory. 

The deadline to apply for YVC’s Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Agricultural Sciences program for the 2023-24 academic year is May 31. The program provides students in the region an opportunity to earn a bachelor’s degree in agricultural sciences close to home. Classes are offered on the college’s Yakima and Grandview campuses for the convenience of students in both the upper and lower Yakima Valley. Students will develop broad skills in finance, strategic operations, harvest technology, soil health, plant physiology, pest management and more.

The priority deadline for applications for YVC’s Bachelor of Applied Science in Information Technology Networking — System Administration (BASIT) program for the 2023-24 academic year is June 30. YVC’s BASIT degree prepares students for a variety of information technology careers such as network or database administrator, network support specialist, computer system analyst, information system manager and system engineer.

YVC’s bachelor’s programs are designed to be convenient for individuals working a day schedule, as each class meets in the evening one time per week for two hours. Additional instruction and student interaction takes place online. Full-time students, those taking 15 credits per quarter, can finish the program in two years once prerequisites have been met. Programs are open for full or part-time enrollment.
