Yakima Valley College Accreditation Visit scheduled for October 2019

Yakima, WA – Since 1948 Yakima Valley College has been accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. Last affirmed in 2012, the college is preparing for its next full-scale evaluation which includes submission of a comprehensive institutional self-study, together with a site visit by a team of evaluators. Upon completion, the self-study will be available for public review on the college’s website, www.yvcc.edu. The site visit will be conducted October 7 – 9, 2019.

The public is invited to provide written comments concerning the institution’s qualifications for accreditation. The commission requests that public comments be addressed to the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, 8060 165th Avenue NE, Redmond, WA 98052. Comments must be received on or before September 5, 2019.
