Grape to Glass Gala
Winemaker’s Dinner and Silent Auction
Saturday, May 18, 2024 @ 6 pm
Yakima Valley College Conference Center, Yakima Campus
You are invited to join us to “Meet the Makers” hosted by Yakima Valley College Vineyard & Winery Technology Program.
The winemaker’s dinner will include a gourmet meal prepared by Bon Vino’s Bistro and a dessert auction by Scratch Bakery. This year’s event theme is “Meet the Maker” and features a dinner paired with wines from YVC’s award-winning Yakima Valley Vintners as well as a happy hour with offerings created by alumni of YVC’s program working at Treveri Cellars, WIT Cellars, Dineen Vineyards, Moonshot Brewing and Wheel Line Cider. In collaboration with the YV-Tech Culinary Arts Program, YV-Tech students will assist the caterer with dinner service and YVC students will serve wine.
About Yakima Vintners
Yakima Valley Vintners, YVC’s teaching winery, opened a new tasting room on the Yakima Campus in 2021. Our winemaking facilities are located on the Grandview Campus along with the original tasting room. The facility offers students studying in the Vineyard & Winery Technology Program the opportunity for hands-on technical training in the area of viticulture and enology.
“I am very excited to start the YVC Vineyard Technology program and your generous scholarship will certainly help with costs. I look forward to becoming a part of the Washington Wine community in the very near future and this will help to get me there.”
– Tom Landino
Yakima Valley College is moving into our second decade of wine industry education!
Since 2007, we have been educating the next generation of Washington viticulturists and winemakers and your support during this time has been instrumental in providing nearly 70 scholarships with more than $68,000 granted in scholarship funding.
Here’s how you can help:
-
- Please consider contributing an item to the silent auction. Click the “Make a Donation Now” button above to fill out the form, please return it by April 5, 2024. Your donation is tax-deductible.
- Mark your calendar now and plan to attend the event on May 18, 2024. The Gala will include dinner and live music. We encourage you to bring your friends and colleagues, or consider sponsoring a table.
With your help, we can surpass the total scholarships raised in past years and make a larger impact on the lives of students in the Vineyard & Winery Technology Program. If you have any questions or require further information, please contact me at 509.882.7007 or e-mail tball@yvcc.edu.
