Biological Science Technician (Temporary)

Dr. Yurgel, a USDA-ARS microbiologist/soil ecologist, is hiring a Biological Science Technician to help with soil and plant tissue preparation and DNA isolation at the WSU-Prosser station, located in Prosser, WA. Dr. Yurgel’s program focuses on understanding the role of soil microbiome on soil health and legume crop production and identification of native microorganism with plant growth promotion properties which could be employed for improvement of sustainable pulse crop production. Experience in molecular biology techniques is desired.

This is a 6-month half-time position. However, an increase in hours and duration might be considered in the future. The work schedule is flexible with wage range between $15 and $25 per hour depending on the qualifications. To hire through WSU, candidates will need to complete an application form (found here).
