How to Register

The mission of the Registration and Records Department is to provide students with efficient, fair access to courses and programs, to provide continued support of students through accurate record-keeping, problem-solving and referral, and to facilitate the students' transitions to work or further schooling by certifying and celebrating their achievements. The Registration and Records staff are dedicated to serving students! It is our hope that we will provide you with the assistance you require, to complete your educational experience at Yakima Valley Community College. We look forward to serving you!

Our office hours are: 7:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday (except state holidays). We are also available until 7:30 P.M. the first two days of Fall, Winter and Spring quarters. Look for specific dates as you receive our quarterly class schedule in the mail.

ALL CURRENTLY ENROLLED STUDENTS
Those students who are enrolled for the current quarter at YVCC.

Go to www.yvcc.edu, Online Services, Registration Date, to see your registration date for the next quarter (excluding summer). Registration dates are assigned according to the number of cumulative credits earned. The more credits you have the sooner you will register. This ensures that each student will register sooner each quarter therefore, providing an opportunity to register for needed classes. CONTACT YOUR ADVISOR AND MAKE AN ADVISING APPOINTMENT TO DETERMINE YOUR CLASS SCHEDULE, then register for classes through our website.

ALL RETURNING STUDENTS
Those students who are returning to YVCC after an absence of one or two quarters (excluding summer quarter).

Contact the registration office (509-574-4700) and ask for a registration date. Your date will be assigned according to the number of cumulative credits on your college transcript and transfer credits (to a max of 66 credits) if applicable. CONTACT YOUR ADVISOR AND MAKE AN ADVISING APPOINTMENT TO DETERMINE YOUR CLASS SCHEDULE, then register for classes through our website.
