Registration

The mission of the Registration and Records Department is to provide students with efficient, fair access to courses and programs, to provide continued support of students through accurate record-keeping, problem-solving and referral, and to facilitate the students' transitions to work or further schooling by certifying and celebrating their achievements. The Registration and Records staff are dedicated to serving students! It is our hope that we will provide you with the assistance you require, to complete your educational experience at Yakima Valley Community College. We look forward to serving you!

Our office hours are: Monday - Thursday 8:30 A.M. to 6:30 P.M and on Fridays 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. (except state holidays). We are also available until 7:30 P.M. the first four days of Fall, Winter and Spring quarters. Look for specific dates as you receive our quarterly class schedule in the mail.

Students will receive notice of specific dates on which they may register prior to the start of the quarter for which they applied. New student registrants must pay tuition and fees in full at the time they register.

The registration process begins when you submit an application for admission. The application generates an advising appointment with a counselor/advisor when you attend your first quarter. At this time you will select classes with the counselor/advisor and then register for class either online or using a registration form. If you are a full time student (10 credits or more).

After your first quarter, you will receive in the mail a registration card with your registration appointment. You should sign up with your advisor before your registration appointment. You may register online for your classes.
