The Department of Safety and Security is committed to working together in a problem-solving partnership with the campus and surrounding community. We recognize our responsibility to provide superior safety and security services with the highest professional standards, to provide a safe and secure campus for the students, faculty and staff of Yakima Valley Community College.

We are accountable for maintaining the campus’s trust with the highest ethical standards and adherence to department policy, as well as, local, state and federal laws. As security officers entrusted with the authority to maintain the campus peace and security, our values will not be compromised.
