Important Dates


MARCH

3: Advising and registration for former students by appointment for spring quarter, 9:00A to 3:00P.

7: Deadline for submitting spring and summer quarter degree applications for inclusion in the commencement program.

14: Last day of classes for winter quarter.

17: **TUITION is DUE for spring quarter if you registered on or before this date. You may lose your classes if tuition is not paid by this date.

17-19: Winter Quarter final exams.

17-19: Book buy back at the Yakima campus bookstore, 8:00A - 4:00P.

17-19: Book buy back at the Grandview campus bookstore, 9:00A – 4:00P.

20: Advising and registration for new and transfer students by appointment.

21: Grades are due in the Registration & Records Office by 4:00pm.

24: **TUITION is DUE for spring quarter if you registered after March 17. You may lose your classes if tuition is not paid by this date.

24: Grades Available on the Web.

24-28: Spring vacation for students and faculty.

24-28: Walk-in registration for part-time (9 credits or less) day and online students, 8:00A to 7:00P.

31: Spring Quarter classes begin.

31: Add a class. A signature is required. The last day to add a class with a signature is April 11.

31-April 1: Extended hours for registration, 8:00A to 7:00P.

31-April 4: *Refunds available with 100% refund.

31-April 11: Drop a class. The course does not appear on your transcript. No signature is required.

APRIL

7-18: *Refunds available with 50% refund.

11: Assessment work day. No day classes will be held.

14-18: Academic Early Warning, week 3.

14-May 23: Withdraw from a class with no signature required. "W" appears on your transcript.

15: Fitting Day in Yakima for commencement gowns, 10:00A to 2:00P.

16: Fitting Day in Grandview for commencement gowns, 10:00A to 2:00P.

18: Deadline for faculty to order caps and gowns.

25: Deadline to order caps and gowns for commencement without a late charge.

MAY

2: Deadline to order camps and gowns with a late charge.

2: Spring Holiday for students and faculty. No day or evening classes.

2: Incomplete grades for winter quarter due in Registration and Records office.

2: Summer quarter schedules mailed to the public.

2: Full-time and part-time students begin registering by mail or online for summer quarter. No credit limit. Mail early for best selection.

2: Appointment postcards for fall quarter registration mailed to currently-enrolled students.

5-9: Academic Early Warning, week 6.

21-30: Advanced Registration for fall quarter by appointment. Currently-enrolled, full-time students may register online.

23: Withdraw from a class. Last day to withdraw from a spring quarter class.

23: Withdraw from college. Last day to withdraw from college for spring quarter.

24-25: Memorial Day Holiday. No evening or weekend classes.

26: Memorial Day Holiday. College Closed.

JUNE

2: Advising and registration for former students by appointment for advance fall quarter registration, 9:00A to 3:00P.

6: Last day of classes.

9-11: Spring quarter final exams.

9-11: Book Buy Back at the Grandview campus bookstore, 9:00A to 4:00P.

9-13: Book Buy Back at the Yakima campus bookstore, 8:00A to 4:30P.

11: Commencement rehearsal, 12:00P in Parker Field Stadium.

12: Commencement - 7:00P in Parker Field Stadium.

13: Grades due in Registration and Records office by 4:00P.

16: Grades available online.

*A processing fee is deducted from all college withdrawal refunds: $10 for full-time, $5 for part-time.

**You will be dropped from classes if tuition is not paid by this date! If you are receiving financial assistance from an agency, a scholarship, or Financial Aid, you are still responsible. Please verify those funds.

   Finals: June 9-11

Commencement: June 12, 2008-7:00P in Parker Field Stadium.

Summer Quarter 2008: Begins June 23 and ends August 12

Fall Quarter 2008: Begins September 22 and ends December 5
   Finals: December 8-10
