SELAH -- Braving unseasonably cold weather, host Yakima Valley won two of its three games Saturday in the 21-team NWAACC Crossover fastpitch tournament at Carlon Park.
The Yaks beat Everett 5-4 and Grays Harbor 7-2.
Brooke Bigby pitched both YVCC victories and also had a banner day at bat. She homered and drove in two runs against Everett, hit another homer against Lower Columbia, then was 3-for-4 with a double and four RBI against Grays Harbor.
The Yaks, 14-19 for the season, will play their final tourney game at 2:45 p.m. today against Clark on the Selah High School field.
They will resume Eastern Region play Friday at home against Walla Walla in a doubleheader scheduled to start at 5 p.m.
