Yakima Valley Community College's Co-Head Wrestling Coaches Receive the Region 18 Outstanding Coach of the year Award.

Schmitt
were
voted
the
Region
18
Outstanding
Coaches
of the
Year,
the
NJCAA
Region
18
announced
Sunday.
The
Yaks won
four
matches
this
season-twice
what the
program
has won
from
200-06.
The
improvement
is a big
reason
the two
coaches
were
noticed.
"It's
nice to
be
recognized
even
though
we're
not
quite to
the top
yet, "
Pimentel
said.
"All of
our
peers
recognize
we have
made a
contribution
and that
the
program
has
improved
greatly."
