Transferring College Credits
Transcripts must remain is a sealed envelope to be considered official and in order to be processed. If transcripts are being sent electronically, please have them sent to email@example.com.
For information on courses from Washington colleges and universities that are accepted in transfer to YVC. Please note that not all courses from all Washington colleges and universities have been reviewed. Courses not listed will be reviewed upon your application fee payment to YVC.
YVC will evaluate and grant credit hours for military education based on the recommendations from the American Council on Education's (ACE) Guide to the Evaluation of Educational Experiences in the Armed Services. This is in accordance with transfer credit policies at YVC and the State Board of Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC). Students may request evaluation of military credit by providing the Admissions Office with an official copy of their
Joint Service Transcript (JST).
Advanced Placement (AP)

College-Level Examination Program (CLEP)

DANTES Standardized Subject Test (DSST)

For information on awarding credit for non-traditional learning. Credit may be awarded for work completed in private study, at non-accredited institutions, or for certificates/trainings.
Students who wish to transfer credit from international institutions must have their international transcripts evaluated through World Education Services (WES) or the
Foundation for International Services (FIS).
