    A little about Christi - Christi Kitt has been selected as the full-time Instructor for the BAS in Business Management Program. She is an alumna of YVCC and holds a BA in Business Administration from Washington State University and a MBA with an emphasis in Marketing from City University. Kitt’s most recent work experience includes marketing, property development, construction, and property management. In addition, she has been a part-time instructor for YVCC’s Business Administration department for eight years. Over the last year Kitt was instrumental in the development and approval of the new BAS in Business Management Program.

    A little about Joe - Joe Young has been hired as the Program Coordinator for the BAS in Business Management Program. He holds a BS in Business Administration from Union College and a MBA in Business Management from Washington State University. Young has previous higher education experience. He served as the Worker Retraining Coordinator at Walla Walla Community College and adjunct professor at Rockford Career College in Rockford, Illinois. Young has a broad range of experience including public and private sectors, non-profit and for-profit organizations, and small business and corporate environments. Most recently he has worked as store manager for General Nutrition Center in Yakima.

    A little about Luis - Luis A. López has been appointed the Director of Baccalaureate of Applied Science Programs. He will oversee the new BASM program as well as research and develop new opportunities for additional Baccalaureate of Applied Science programs at YVCC. López, is an alumnus of YVCC and holds a BAS in Accounting from Central Washington University, a MSA in Accounting from University of Phoenix. López, along with Kitt, played key roles in bringing the new four year BAS in Business Management degree to YVCC. López has been a member of YVCC’s Business Administration Advisory Committee for many years. He previously worked as Plant Controller for KapStone Container (formerly Longview Fibre) in Yakima, Controller for the City of Redmond, Oregon, and also as State Auditor for the Washington State Auditor’s Office in Yakima.
