Tom has over 22 years of clinical experience in a variety of settings. In the classroom, he draws on this experience to illustrate various psychological principles. Some of the settings he has worked at include: rehabilitation counseling, adolescent treatment facilities, out-patient mental health counseling, as well as university and community college counseling centers.
In addition to his faculty duties at YVCC, he works part-time as a licensed mental health counselor. Tom received his graduate training in Australia. He also lived and worked there for about seven years. Among other courses, he most frequently teaches 'General Psychology' and 'Introduction to Behavior Disorders.
