Dan Erickson

Dan Erickson graduated with a degree in Radio Broadcasting from Yakima Valley Community College in 1996. After working at several Yakima radio stations he attended Washington State University where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Communication in 1998 and a Master's Degree in Communication with an emphasis in social movement rhetoric in 2000. During his tenure at WSU he did production work with Public Television and Public Radio. After teaching both Speech Communication and Mass Communication fulltime at Labette Community College in Kansas, and Ancilla College in Indiana, Dan is excited to be back at YVCC. Dan is also a music aficionado and writes, plays guitar, harmonica, and drums, and performs original music.

James McCormick

Mr. McCormick studied Speech/Communications at Central Washington University receiving a B.A. He studied Black Rhetoric of the 60's taking classes from Emmy Award winning T.V. Producer of Black Journal Tony Brown. Later at WSU he studied Interpersonal Communications and took classes at the Edward R. Murrow Center in Radio & T.V. production. For his Masters he studied how an organizational design effects communication and how different leadership styles can fit different organizational purposes.

He remains excited about the dynamics of Interpersonal Communication in relationships and organizations, and the power to persuade in the public forum.
