Mission

The mission of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE) is to support the continuation of Yakima Valley College as a student-centered institution dedicated to teaching and learning.

Purpose

The primary purpose of OIE is to coordinate the collection, analysis, and dissemination of timely and accurate information in support of the college's mission and goals.

The OIE supports institution-wide strategic planning, academic program review, campus survey efforts, annual performance reports, grant development, and accreditation efforts.



Requesting Data

Data Request Procedure

Step1

Requests for data should be e-mailed to the Office of Institutional Effectiveness. Please include as much information as possible in your request including, but not limited to:

  • Deadline for receipt of data
  • Timeframe (i.e., specific years, quarters, etc.)
  • Purpose (how the data will be used or what you think the data will reveal)

Step 2

Your request will be acknowledged via an e-mail response. Depending on the request, OIE staff may have additional questions of clarification.

Step 3​

OIE staff will then forward your request to the Director of OIE and the appropriate Dean/VP/President who oversees your area for approval.

Step 4
