When students are placed in courses that fit their academic preparation and skill level, they are much more likely to stay in school and be successful in those courses. Our goal at YVCC is to help you select courses that match the skills that you have in Math, English, and Reading. To determine your current skill level, all students are required to take a placement test before registration. Under certain circumstances, you may re-test if you feel the course placement results are not accurate. Please contact the Testing Office for specific re-testing requirements.
