Are there community kitchens?
Yes. There is one on each hall.
Are pots, pans, utensils, dishes, etc. provided?
No. Each resident is responsible for providing, cleaning, and storing cooking items.
Is there free Wi-Fi (wireless) access?
Yes. There are wi-fi hot spots in the rec. room, tv room, and community kitchens. This is only offered to YVCC students. YVCC students have a student identification number and pay a technology fee.

Rent is due by the fifth day of every month. A $25.00 late fee will be assessed on the sixth day.

Parking?
YVCC Students: Click on https://apps.yvcc.edu/dotnet/alerts/ to access the application. You will be directed to Campus Tools where you need to sign-up for an account. Vehicle information will be required in order to obtain your parking permit. Additional directions are available, click here for the Online Parking Permit Application Guide. Once the application has been submitted, students can pick up their permit in the Security Office in Palmer Hall (X101) or in Sundquist Hall (S160O). For additional details, contact 574-4610.
Perry Tech., WSU, & Other: All non-YVCC students must pay a $30 student permit fee per academic year to the Cashier's Office in the Deccio Higher Education Center. Receipt of payment of fee must be provided by the students when student permit is issued. YVCC Students have already paid a fee for parking. For additional details, contact 574-4610.
When do I get my room assignment?
After you have been accepted by the Student Residence Center. You can only be accepted after you have turning in all required documents and paid the $250.00 housing deposit. You will receive room assignment upon check-in.

What can I have in my room?
A small fridge (no larger than 36 inches and/or three cubic feet) and microwave (no more than 800 watts are recommended).

If I am receiving Financial Aid, will it pay my rent when I move in? Maybe. It depends on when you move in, how much Financial Aid you get, and when Financial Aid will be disbursed. Financial Aid is paid to tuition and fees first, and then it will pay other charges such as housing. The soonest Financial Aid can pay your rent is the first day of the quarter. So, if you move in prior to the start of the quarter you will be responsible for all charges leading up to that quarter. It is your responsibility to check with the Financial Aid office regarding disbursement dates and amounts. The Housing Office will not hold payment due pending receipt of earnings, income or financial aid.
