Page Content Steps to Apply - Complete a YVCC application for admission or a uniform two-year college application available at the admissions office or at a high school counseling office or you may apply online.
- Submit the $20 application fee.
- Take the placement test. The Compass is required for all students unless you have a transcript from a previous college with math or English credits.
- If you have attended a college or university previously, submit an official copy of your transcript to:

- YVCC grants college credit for the following programs: Advanced Placement (AP), College Level Examination Program (CLEP), International Baccalaureate (IP) and college in the high school. If you have participated in any of these programs please submit a official transcript or test results to the address above.
- Once you have applied and completed COMPASS, plese call 509-574-4712 and request an orientation appointment.
