YVCC's MESA program serves underrepresented students in the STEM (Science, Technology,
Engineering, Math) majors by providing academic enhancement , course study workshops and
transfer assistance. Our main goal is for your success in the transfer process to four-year institutions.

What does YVCC MESA offer? |
Academic Excellent Workshops: Course study workshops to support students in STEM majors. |

Academic Advising: Students receive guidance on classes and develop an academic plan aiding them in the transfer process. |

Career Advising: Students will connect with local industry, guest speakers, internship opportunities and resume workshops. |
| |
Transfer Advising: Assistance in the application and financial aid process, visits to university transfer departments. |
| |
MESA Student Study Center: Access to a dedicated center to support individual or group study, meetings and social events. |

Who is eligible for YVCC MESA? |
Underrepresented students: African-American, Native American, Latino/Hispanic, Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander and first generation college students. |

U.S. Citizen or permanent residents of the United States of America. |
| |
Students intending to transfer to a four year University in the STEM fields. |
| |
Students who do not have a previous Bachelor's Degree in any field.
