The current Learning Management System in use at YVCC is ANGEL. If you have not taken an online class before or you are unclear what will be asked of you during an online class follow this link to take a short survey which can help you determine whether online leaning is right for you at this time.

First day of the quarter, login to your “online classroom” for specific directions from each of your instructors.  

• Students are added to the ANGEL platform on a daily basis.
• Students can access their classroom the first day of the quarter OR 24 hours after registering for a class 

Login Info

• To log into Angel please open a new browser window and type the following into the address bar: http://angel.yvcc.edu. 
• Enter your Username and Password then click on "Log on”.
• Favorite or Bookmark this site.
  
• Once you log on, your course should be a visible link on your Angel Home Page Course Box. A few courses use ANGEL through the publisher of your textbook. That login process may be different. Your instructor will have this information for you.

 User ID & Password to log on to ANGEL:

• Username is your student ID number

• Password is the first 5 letters of your last name (Example:  Johnson = johns, O'reily = oreil, Lee = lee).  If you change your password and then lose or forget it you will be required to contact the Angel administrator, Jacqueline Staley, for a password reset. This could cause you a delay in your ability to access your class. So please save your password in a safe place do not depend solely on your "remember password" function.
  

Browsers & Plug-ins:

• Firefox: should use vs 9 or better. It is free and easily downloaded from: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/upgrade.html 
• If you use Internet Explore make sure you have the most current version. 9.x
  
• Plug-ins are software programs that allow you to access and view many of the materials in your online course. View the Browser Tune-up Webpage to download the recommended software: Browser Tune-up.
• If you download Firefox as your browser check with Firefox for plug-ins.

American Online (AOL) and MAC users:

• Log on to AOL, then use Internet Explorer to access ANGEL.
• Macintosh users must use Firefox 9.x vs. or better.
