Your success at YVC is our top priority! The dates and deadlines listed below are important pieces of information to know for success in your college journey, which is why we’ve gathered them here for easy reference. Please note that these dates are subject to change. You can also find information about these dates and all campus events on our main calendar.

| Feb 6 – Feb 16 | Advance Spring Quarter registration begins for currently enrolled degree/certificate seeking students. |
| Feb 19 | President’s Day Holiday – College Closed |
| Feb 20 | Returning and transfer student (30+ college credits) Spring Quarter 2024 registration begins. |
| Feb 20 | Deadline: Last day to apply and pay admission fee for Spring Quarter 2024 admission for new, *returning, and transfer full or part-time students seeking a degree or certificate. |
| Mar 25 | **Tuition due by 3:30 pm for Spring Quarter 2024 if registered after March 4. |
| Mar 25 – Mar 29 | Spring Quarter registration begins for part-time non-degree/certificate seeking students. |
| April 1 | Spring Quarter 2024 classes begin. |
| April 30 | Advising Day – No day-time classes are held on advising day. Evening classes that begin after 6:30pm are held at their normal times. All Bachelor of Applied Science classes follow their regular schedule. |
| May 27 | Memorial Day Holiday – College Closed |
| Jun 7 | Last day of classes for Spring Quarter. |
| Jun 10 – Jun 12 | Spring Quarter final exams. |
| Jun 14 | Commencement – 6:00 pm |

| May 7-June 24 | Summer Quarter 2024 online registration begins. Open for all students. |
| May 6 | Summer Quarter 2024 Financial Aid applications become available online. |
| May 24 | Deadline: Last day to apply and pay admission fee for Summer Quarter 2024 for new, *returning, and transfer full or part-time students seeking a degree or certificate. |
| May 24 | Deadline: All transcripts (college and High School) must be received for Summer Quarter 2024 for full or part- time transfer student admission by 3:00pm. |
| May 29 | Deadline: Last day for students to complete placement (testing) and schedule New Student Orientation appointment in Yakima. |
| Jun 17 | **Tuition due by 3:30 p.m. for Summer Quarter |
| Jun 19 | Juneteenth – Observed Holiday, College Closed |
| Jun 24 | Summer Quarter 2024 classes begin. |
| Jun 24-Jun 25 | Students can add a class without instructor signature via ctcLink |
| Jun 26 – Jun 27 | Students can add a class with instructor signature. Class add must be completed on-line Add/Drop Form and submitted to Registration. |
| Jun 24 – Jun 28 | *Refunds- 100% refund period ends on June 28th. Drops can be completed through ctcLink or by using the online Add/Drop Form |
| Jun 24– Jul 5 | Students can drop a class in this period and the class does not appear on transcript. All drops after June 27th must be done using the online Add/Drop Form. |
| Jul 3 | No Classes – Non-Instructional Day |
| Jul 4 | Independence Day – Holiday, College Closed |
| Jul 1 – July 5 | *Refunds- 50% refund period ends on July 5th. Drops must be completed on an Add/Drop Form and submitted to Registration. Drops must be completed by using the online Add/Drop Form |
| Jul 8 – Jul 18 | Students can withdraw from a class in this period and the grade appears as a “W” on transcript. Drops must be completed by using the online Add/Drop Form |
| Aug 13 | Last day of Summer Quarter. |

| May 15 – May 24 | Advance Fall Quarter registration begins for currently enrolled degree/certificate seeking students. |
| May 27 | Returning and transfer students (30+ college credits) Fall Quarter 2024 registration begins. |
| Aug 13 | Deadline: Last day to apply and pay admission fee for Fall Quarter 2024 admission for new, *returning, and transfer full or part-time students seeking a degree or certificate. |
| Aug 26 | **Tuition due by 3:30pm for Fall Quarter 2024, if registered on or before August 26th. |
| Sep 2 | Labor Day Holiday – College closed. |
| Sep 16 | **Tuition due by 3:30pm for Fall Quarter 2024, if registered on or before September 16th |
| Sep 16 – Sep 20 | Fall Quarter registration begins for part-time non-degree/certificate seeking students. |
| Sep 23 | Fall Quarter 2024 classes begin. |
| Oct 14 | Assessment Work Day- No day classes. |
| Oct 29 | Advising Day – No daytime classes are held on advising day. Evening classes that begin after 6:30pm are held at their normal times. All Bachelor of Applied Science classes follow their regular schedule. |
| Nov 11 | Veteran’s Day Holiday Observed – College closed. |
| Nov 18 | Spring Quarter 2025 graduation application deadline. |
| Nov 27 | Faculty non-contract day – No Classes – limited college services |
| Nov 28 – Nov 29 | Thanksgiving Holiday & Native American Heritage Day – College closed. |
| Dec 6 | Last day of classes for Fall Quarter. |
| Dec 9 – Dec 11 | Fall Quarter final exams. |
| Dec 16 – Jan 3 | Winter holiday break – limited college services available. |
