Mission Statement
The mission of Easter Seals Jane's House Early Learning Center is to maximize the personal growth, development and ability of each child and adult that uses our services; to provide the special expertise and help needed to achieve that. We provide a service to the students and employees of Yakima Valley Community College as well as community members and provide an educational setting for practicum work and serve as a model early learning care facility to the community.

Philosophy
Easter Seals Jane's House provides programs that promote cognitive, social, emotional and physical development; maximize the independence and enhance the function and potential of young children; provide individualized, quality services to children and their families; provide an anti-bias family centered program to ensure each family’s priorities, concerns and cultures are addressed and incorporated into each child’s daily activities; provide a naturalistic environment where each child’s overall development is enhanced and enriched; include children as active participants in their learning experiences; provide services to children with disabilities in a setting in which children without disabilities participate, to promote development and acceptance; maintain and increase the expertise of staff and quality services by providing opportunities for ongoing professional development.

In order to accomplish these goals, Easter Seals Jane's House provides a child development program that promotes: a healthy and safe environment for children; regular communication with parents and family members; specially trained teachers and assistants; low adult-child ratios which ensure quality care and individualized attention; nutritious meals and snacks; frequent, positive and warm interaction among adults and children-planned learning activities and material appropriate to each child’s developmental age; an opportunity for children without disabilities and children with disabilities to participate in childcare services together.
