Advising
The purpose of advising at Yakima Valley Community College is to assist you in making the best possible choices that will help you reach your academic goals.   All students are assigned a faculty advisor based on the area of interest indicated on the application.   Students should meet with their advisor each quarter to develop a plan for their education and to insure that they are on the right track for graduation. You may change your advisor at any time by completing a Change of Advisor form available in the admissions office or in the counseling center.
